Uncharted Territory

Life is a journey we each travel day by day;
Desiring to be in God's perfect will to bring Him glory.
Though many times during our journey the path is not always clear,
And we appear to be traveling through uncharted territory.

A man plans his course in his heart, but the Lord determines his steps,
So it may sometimes seem impossible to capture the full scope.
For the Lord said, “I know the plans I have for you;
Plans of good and not evil to give you a future and to give you a hope.”

At times we may attempt to compute how God will move;
As though we were working an equation in a book of math.
But the Lord said to trust in Him with our our heart , and lean not on our own
Understanding, acknowledging Him in all ways, and He shall direct our paths.

Before we were formed in the womb, God knew us;
And before we came out of the womb we were sanctified.
Our steps are therefore ordered of Him, and in our ways we take delight,
Because the way of the righteous is known by the Lord our Guide.

Regardless of the uncertainty we face in life,
The Lord has promised to never leave nor forsake us.
We can be confident that He who began a good work in us,
Will carry it on to completion until the day of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

So be not consumed with the details of where God will lead you,
For He has written every word of you life's story.
He has already mapped out the roads of our destiny, and we can be confident
That His is always familiar with our uncharted territory.
